Intrawest's Resort Club Taps E-xact's Real-time Processing Systems To Streamline Resort Membership Transactions
Speedier, web-based systems mean improved customer experience
DENVER, CO โ" May 1, 2000 โ" E-commerce solutions provider E-xact Transactions Ltd. today announced the signing of an agreement with Intrawest Resort Ownership Corporation (IROC), a wholly owned subsidiary of North America's leading developer and operator of village-centered destination resorts, Intrawest Corporation, to provide real-time, web-based transaction services for IROC's multi-location sales centers.
With E-xact Transaction's payment processing services, each IROC sales office will be able to conduct sales for its vacation club memberships in multiple currencies, from any web-connected location. Previously a cumbersome and costly process for multi-center operations in the US and Canada, E-xact's service enables an easy-to-use processing solution without the need for expensive credit card terminals and communication links.
Additionally, E-xact's services automatically direct funds to their destination, allowing the company to centralize its banking operations.
โStreamlining our internal systems certainly has its advantages for our personnel and our operational goals, and we are happy to pass these efficiencies along to our customers as well,โ said Ron Zimmer, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. โCustomers buying ownership in Club Intrawest receive maximum flexibility in their payment methods and plans, and through E-xact's robust browser-based reports, we can provide better service and learn more about our customers.โ
E-xact's services will provide a wide range of browser-based reports on the transaction activity of IROC's sales centers. In seconds, a manager can know preferred payment methods for its resort members, generate income totals regardless of currencies involved, compare sales of its various resorts and easily spot trends and potential fraud, all at a cost savings to Intrawest.
โWe've designed our e-commerce solutions to fit the needs of all different types of businesses and offer efficiencies no other services can,โ said Ted Henderson, President and CEO of E-xact Transactions. โWe're happy that Intrawest will be able to take advantage of several of our offerings including instant currency conversions, real-time transaction processing, control features for directing funds as well as our analysis tools.โ
IROC's sales centers will begin using E-xact's services May 1, 2000.
